Default Do you like this line?

Hero has been in line at the table, playing solidly.
Villain has been coolered 2 times by hero, once with top set over mid set and once with nut straight over poop-end straight.

Game is .10/.25 PLO on AP, (max buyin of 200BBs)
Hero has ~80
Villain has ~40
(6 max table)
Hero is MP with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and pots it preflop after a few folds. Villain on button calls.
Flop is A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero pots and villain instacalls.
Turn A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero checks Villain checks behind.
River 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero checks Villain leads for pot. Hero raises 2/3 pot, villain folds.
Thoughts here?

I was fairly confident villain would bet this river with any flush or a made straight, he was a little tilted and didn't seem to me like he was a winning player.
How would you suggest playing this hand?

pot pot pot, don't give a chance for a smaller boat to fold.

Clearly I didnt put him on a boat. Had he flopped a set on that board he is clearly repotting the flop. Theres no reason for him to peel one off here if he has a set. Also, if he has filled up he is surely betting the turn after I check to him. Villains hand looks more like a made straight or made flush. Try thinking before you speak, thanks.

Leading on all streets looks best to extract max value.

if you are going to play the hand like this i think probably a smaller raise on the river might be best - maybe even a mini raise

overall you probably won as much as you could with your hand

I was trying to ask what you thought the best way was to extract max value here. If he has a set on the flop, hes going to bet then turn if i check or raise the flop. If he raises the flop, then the situation changes. Maybe i call and pot again on the turn or maybe I repot on the flop. But given his flat call, I cannot conclude that he has a made hand on the flop. 99% of the time this is a weak draw, a combo draw with position is likely to raise here. So given it was a good river card to complete most draws, I thought check raising might look a little strange and induce a curiosity call. I wasn't asking about a read on my opponent, i was asking how you feel the best way to play this hand is.

in these situations i either go for the "pot pot pot"-line or check turn/bet river.

i think i do the latter to often...

whats your name on a.p. i have been playing on there of late...
as someone you described as bad i don't think a river checkkraise is the most profitable play. id give him a chance on the turn to make a mistake. if he calls value town the river.
