Default withdrawing from bankroll

i couldnt find a better forum to post this ..

i've read a number of times that you should withdraw and pay yourself from your bankroll on a regular basis.

is 5% of your bankroll per week a good "salary"?

depends on the size of your bankroll, what you consider to be "good salary", and how much you make on an average week.

You want your bankroll to keep growing even though your cashing out. 5% sounds good though. I haven't heard of any stipulations on this. Maybe someone else has.

If you can take out 5% a week and maintain your bankroll long term, you're a good player.

I was always of the school of thought that it was best to build your bankroll up to a level where you felt comfortable at the limits you were playing, but were earning money at a decent rate.

IMO once you reach this it's ok to start withdrawing anything you make on top of that every week or month, because if you encounter a downswing you can still stay at the same level.

I personally wouldn't withdraw regularly if I was still building my roll.
