Live Game 1/3 125 bb Deep
This hand was from a live game in Houston, 1/3 nl table is playing pretty loose(a lot of 3 betting, lot of straddles and large p/f raises)
Villian A has about $170 , Villian B has about $370, I cover both. I am dealt As 3s (Utg I straddled for $10), 6 callers. I decided to try to steal the pot and raised $70 more into a $70 pot, Villian A and B called from mid positions. flop : Ad 3d 2c Pot is $280 Whats the best play here? (I'm first to act) Pushing, Bet/Calling, Check/Calling, Check/Raising(folding really isnt an option in this game and this board) |

Bet/call. Make a weak bet like 120 and call 46dd/KTdd/AJ push. I rarely raise my straddle with a hand like Axss by the way. Do it with either complete trash or the nuts, you dont want to waste a good nuts flopper on a steal.

Don't push and don't check.

Re: Live Game 1/3 125 bb Deep
Make it $150. It's almost half the size of the pot & is a nice round number. If you get raised, make a back handed "shoo-fly" motion while saying "arrrr innnn".

Re: Live Game 1/3 125 bb Deep
Preflop isn't horrible, but it's not something I would do all the time.
On this flop, I like a 1/2PSB and a call if raised. |

Re: Live Game 1/3 125 bb Deep
Don;t like preflop unless you have an ultra tight image and you've seen the table fold in similar situations. (No one ever believes a straddled pre-flop raise and you're getting looked up by hand that have you crushed (A9 - AQ, maybe AK).
The flop is gin. I bet $175, push any raises. |
