Please change title to "amazed by this".

Can you provide a read on BB, is he a known player, PT stats, notes you have on him?

I'd save this kind of thing for MTTs. Risk/reward just isn't there in SNGs imo

This is a very very interesting hand.
Since you said villain is unknown I am really interested in your decision process.

Also, if you thought u were ahead when the A came why not reraising?

I saw a similar call 2 days ago at the WSOP, 2 very very good players where in the end HU and after several bettings in almost every street one of the two made a call on the river with A high to win the pot, I was so impressed.

yeah, against spacific opponents with good reads this can be good. Against an unknown average player, it's spewedge.

Pudge- walk us through the hand and tell us why you called. I don't get it but maybe I'm missing something.

Here's one I made one time and my thought process...

Heads up against a donkey at the end of an SNG I call his raise in the BB with T8s.

Flop is A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check/call a c-bet.

Turn is 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

check/check

River is A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet about 1500 and villain pushes. I thought through how he would play every hand that beat me. He's not checking an ace on the turn and he's not raising my river bet with 99-KK or a queen. Had to be a bluff or rarely a full house. I called him and fortunately he didn't have K8.
