Let\'s talk dice control
From reading some stuff about this, I am starting to believe that a good shooter can influence the dice enough by avoiding rolling 7's to gain a significant advantage.
So let's say it is possible. Is it possible to learn this from a book or does one need a coach? Also, how much would the effects of say 5 Bloody Mary's prohibit my ability to gain said advantage? |

Re: Let\'s talk dice control
Get Scoblete's books, and you'll need access to to a table that you can practice on for about 2 hours/day for at least a month before you really see any resuls. You'll be recording lots of data too. It's not an easy process.

Re: Let\'s talk dice control
I read the books and then got a dice coach. After being with the coach, I can't imagine learning how to precision shoot by just reading the book. Even buying a table and practicing isn't enough, you really need someone there who knows it to watch you.
If booze affects physically in any way, then no, you wouldn't be able to do this while drinking. |

Re: Let\'s talk dice control
Didn't the Wizard Of Odds do some trials with this stuff? Anybody remember his findings?
Another question: do any casinos bar people from playing craps? (Besides the beligerent drunk guys that keep throwing the dice across the room in a fit of rage.) Do they ever say "I'm sorry, sir. I'm going to ask you to stop playing our house-advantage games. You're too good."? -Sam |

Re: Let\'s talk dice control
Dont you dare waiste a penny on info about shooting. Especially not a "dice coach" LOLOL. The cost of lessons is enough to cover the house edge for a good while. You should see those clowns shoot. I see wannabe shooters all the time. Its all psychology as stated by Sheet. You feel better about winning when you think you "caused" the win yourself and not luck. And when you lose , you THEN blame luck, not your worthless shooting attempts.
There are people who can beat it, just like there are Woods and Jordan. Good luck becoming a master! danielson! |

Re: Let\'s talk dice control
Yeah he did. IIRC it was only under 1000 shoots with wong's(?) people. IIRC he said the results can't be seen from such a small sample but it seemed like they could do it (I could be way wrong here because I read it like 1 year ago).
