Default I need a line

I know how we hate readless hands, but this guy was new to the table (1 orbit).

I put his range for this at a "standard" 3/6 player out of position: AQs+, AKo, 99+. Maybe could loosen it up to AJs+, AQo+, 88+, but I need a read to go looser than that.

I raised the flop for information , called his 3-bet getting about 15:1. Called the turn 'cause of the 4 outs I picked up (8.66:1 with 6 outs easy call).

River call I had to think about. I'm pretty sure he fires again AKss, AQss, AJs, TT-AA. I'm not sure if he fires anything else (particularly AKo). Vs. the "sure" range, i'm 12:1 dog. Including AKo I jump to better than 2:1.

Thoughts Flop/River???

the river raise for information is kinda useless, since tons of player will 3 bet with AK or even AQ. I usually wind up calling down, but i'm not sure about it.
call flop, free showdown raise the turn might be a decent play

So you raised the Flop for information and still called the river although he 3bet the Flop. What do we learn? Dont raise for information only in Limit, its not worth it.

I just call the flop. If I had called the flop I just call the turn after picking up a gutshot. Then I... wait for it... just call the river.

Edit. Oh... and if I had raised the flop I'd fold the river UI.

this is what I love about the "raise for info" play.

If the hero did not pick up a gutshot, he's still calling down.

And even on the river, with all this "info" he gathered, he still calls with the nut low like it's his job.

You want a line, it's a line I use pretty much every hand, call flop, call turn, call river, next.

Errr... I was 100% folding turn if I didn't improve. I got the information I was raising to get, even though it was costlier than it should have been. After that, it was a math hand.

I understand the "raise for info" was misapplied here. Call down was correct. All part of my education.

Now I just need to figure out how the hell everyone puts up 50k hands like it's nothing. I 4-table when I play and I've logged 11k hands over the last 2 months... and that's high volume for me!

I would call flop and call any non A-K turn and river and take a note what he capped with, he could have AK, AQs as well as big PP:s. I never raise for information, since you can't trust the information you get.
