Re: Can I fold this?
I'd check/raise the river and call a 3bet.
He could have AA, KQ or AK here that you beat. You're behind KK, QQ TWIWP, I'd call the river raise all day long. |

Re: Can I fold this?
Fold improbable-looking trips getting 16-1 ?
You've got a caller so you should dismiss all thoughts of 3-betting and play for the overcall. This is a nice hand but not nice enough to risk 2BB when you quite possibly gain nothing by being right. I would avoid checkraising for the same reason. Even when you don't whiff you will often make less money by raising in front of the field then by betting out. Checkraising makes it crystal clear both that CO is serious and that you really do have the five. That's going to be very hard for anyone else to call. Against that the donk bet looks really fake and is hard to take seriously. It's much easier to call and could easily tempt an unsound raise by CO. Side note: When listing possible hands for CO you should include K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and maybe even Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. They are quite consistent with 40/30/1.85. |

Re: Can I fold this?
I think you played it fine. I like the river donk because of the two people trapped between you and CO.
