If the poker gods came down from on high and declared that henceforth every hand of poker you played would be 3-handed with A6o on a K62r board vs these specific opponents' ranges + you were required to check the flop and c/r every single time CO lead, would you expect to make money? Frankly, I'd be pretty happy about it after I got over the sisyphean aspect of things.

The point is that though you can sometimes get a fold from air, he'll call down every pair and see the river with every sketchy draw if he shows down as often as most not-very-aggressive-but-not-passive-either 68% vpip guys.

We make most of our money from his calls, not his folds. I'd want more to fall back on than just 2 cards to middle pair on a 2-tone flop with none of your suit in a tiny pot.
