A couple of QQ hands
I'm having a good session at the time and am up a bunch of buy ins. Maybe didn't want to blow it and stack off to a couple players who seemed at least decent. Both hands happened near each other, like within 50 hands. Too nitty?
I really felt this guy had AA, KK JJ or TT. Decided I beat one hand and folded Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 8 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $32.90 BB: $28.75 UTG: $70.95 UTG+1: $98.30 MP1: $51.35 MP2: $12.65 Hero (CO): $51.00 BTN: $50.15 Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (8 Players) UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $1.75, 2 folds, Hero calls $1.75, 3 folds Flop: ($4.25) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) UTG+1 bets $4.25, Hero calls $4.25 Turn: ($12.75) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) UTG+1 bets $12.75, Hero folds Uncalled bet of $12.75 returned to UTG+1 Pot Size: $12.75 ($0.60 Rake) And this seems like either a set or Ax of hearts to me. I'm only a small fav over the Ax and obv huge dog to set so decided to just fold. Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 9 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $92.45 BB: $42.45 UTG: $20.25 UTG+1: $16.75 MP1: $49.25 Hero (MP2): $55.10 MP3: $15.00 CO: $23.75 BTN: $50.00 MP3 posts $0.50 Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (9 Players) 3 folds, Hero raises to $2.25, MP3 folds, CO calls $2.25, 2 folds, BB calls $1.75 Flop: ($7.50) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players) BB checks, Hero bets $6.50, CO folds, BB raises all-in to $40.20, Hero folds Uncalled bet of $33.70 returned to BB Pot Size: $20.50 ($1 Rake) let me know what you think and thank you. |

Re: A couple of QQ hands
For the first I would reraise preflop. I would probably reraise on the flop given the way you played it.
Unless im mistaken if he has Ax then he only has 7 outs, so you are a big favourite against that. For the second I think its likely he has something like AT or thinks you missed the flop completely. Either way, I doubt with a set he would overbet this much, so I would call this. However Im pretty new to poker and even newer to posting here, so wait for some better advice |

Re: A couple of QQ hands
On the first hand...Im raising the turn.
On the second hand, it would depend on the player..there are some I would, and some I wouldnt. The cards dont necessarily matter here. |

Re: A couple of QQ hands
On the first hand, I would rr 3 bets to around $5.5 or so. If he come back over the top you can pretty much narrowed his range to AA or KK, even QQ (very unlikely but possible.) I doubt he would come back with JJ or TT but may call your rr with those. He would also call with AK. On the flop with such a dry board, I would rr his bet. That maybe enough to force out hands like AK, JJ-88. If he calls you can always c/f the turn if he makes a large bet.
On the second hand, without knowing villan, it's hard to figure out what he has. He can have AA-TT, or a nut FD. With the latter, he figures he can represent AA/KK while still have outs to beat you. But floding here without knowing villan is probably prudent. |
