Variance: Holliday never touched the plate. Any possible playoff run now tainted.

As a Dodger fan, I honestly hate the Padres MORE than the Giants. I am soooo happy they lost. Now, since I personally witnessed Kirk Gibson's homer, and rejoiced in the '81 and '88 World Series, I can't imagine how great it must feal to be a Rockies' fan right now. Biggest game in franchise history, 13 innings, blow it and then beat maybe the greatest reliever in history with 3 runs in the bottom of the inning??? WOW.

In 1980, the Dodgers were four games back of Houston with four games to go, all with Houston. The Dodgers swept all four games! Then they lost the one-game playoff.
