Folded to me in CO, I open raise A8o. Button cold calls. SB folds. BB calls.

Read on button: too loose preflop. plays spazzy at times - For example, open raised AQo, preflop, then B/3B an all rag flop vs 4 opponents. Bet the whole way UI. Also has made very poor bluffs on the river when checked to.

Read on BB: plays what I call "ABC B&M poker..." - slowplays monsters, raises the flop with top pair, doesnt play loose but not particularly tight either.

Anyways the flop is T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. BB checks, I bet, button calls.BB tanks for a few seconds, looks at me, and checkraises.

Whats the play here? After responses I'll post what I did and what the action was on the next street.

You most likely have the BB beat. The button is worrisome.

I would want to face the button with two bets now, and see how he reacts.

he has you on A7 to AK and he is raising to make sure you do not have a T.

Anyway, if the BB tanked and looked at you, I think he has you beat.

i would 3bet in rhythm. his pause is often his deciding if his 8/pp is good.

ok, what happened was i 3 bet, thinking the BB was weak. i was discouraged when the button called the 2 cold. the BB called.

the turn was the J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. the BB checked. do I still bet? i honestly was thinking c/f was the right play here...

That's just a horrible card. Button could very easily have a jack in his hand.

The pot's so big that I could bet/fold this turn. You've come this far, and played it like a T or an overpair. The pot's 7.5BB's. The button seems to be your biggest concern. I think the button will fold more than one out of 7.5 times.
