Not much we beat here, I think..call the small bets?

no solid reg is making those bets turn/river which makes me more inclined to call

Re: $16 AJ against a solid regular..give up after the flop?
pf and flop look standard....would lead again on turn. If he calls the turn bet I might be more inclined to check/call the river if he bets...might be weak but I dont feel great about firing another bullet.

[/ QUOTE ] A solid regular never calls preflop with a weak ace. If his read is correct, hero is beat and the solid regular is milking him for a few extra chips. As played, just check/fold turn. |

Um, a solid regular at the $16 are few and far between. I'd call him down unless you have a really solid read and even then he's making it so cheap I'd probably call.

Re: $16 AJ against a solid regular..give up after the flop?
I'm torn. If you are, in fact, against a solid regular, I'd c/f the turn.
However, I'm having difficulty figuring how his guy is solid. You raised pre, lead Ahigh flop, and called the turn. You are telling him you have a A. Because you raise pre, you are telling him you have a biggish A. His bets make no sense. They aren't nearly big enough to get someone to fold an A, and for that reason they aren't even close to optimal for extracting value with a big hand. |
