Re: Video on the Economy- 60 Minutes featuring US Comptroller
[ QUOTE ]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGpY2hw7ao8 Anyone have any idea how they're going to fix this? Also, how realistic is it that our economy collapses completely in 30-50 years? [/ QUOTE ] You must be young. The social/economic problems we have today are the same as those since Nixon. They are just more pronounced, because Americans don't care. We create more waste per capita. We pollute the air per capita more than any country. We do whatever it takes to pacify the masses within the U.S., so that the elite can get rich. The subjects discussed between private citizens in their 20's today, are the same as those debated when I was in my 20's in the 70's. Now, those in their 20's have the internet; cool X-Box's etc. etc. to divert them from reality. Ain't nuttin gonna change.....Don't believe me?? Just look at who the majority put into the white house.....twice. Well informed citizens, who fail to act, are nothing more than intelligent monkeys. You are probably too young to remember Carter. He swore to Zero Based Budgeting: If the Govt doesn't have the money, we don't spend it. He set a record for the most vetos and is considered one of the worse Prez in history. When Reagan took over, one of the first things he did was have the solar panels removed from atop the white house. Do you know why?....Who was the VP? |

Everyone is still brainwashed enough to not mention cutting the sacred golden cow of defence spending which is greater than SS spending.

[/ QUOTE ] Especially since SS spending is less than the govt gets in social security taxes and the surplus is used to help pay for defense spending before the govt has to go borrow the rest. |
