Default My name is gobbo and I\'m a nit with queens.

Stars $150. I've started taking super passive lines with queens recently. Villain said he played with me at TS, meaning he probably thinks I'm some spewtard. I still opted for this line because of stack sizes. Thoughts?

I like it and frequently play it the same. Although I often see AJ or AXs and feel like a station. nh.

I don't like the way you played this. Gobbo, what were your goals for this hand? I would overbet the flop, that way he only calls with a K and folds everything else. I might just open shove preflop to avoid having anybody call and flop an A or K on me.

Even though you butchered this hand, your river call is expert. QQ wins about an average of 12bbs a hand, and if you called then you either won or lost 12bbs. Since our average profit for QQ is 12bbs, then you more than likely won this hand so it was an +EV call. You really should try some dark checks, like Phil Hellmuth does. In case you don't know who he is, here is a picture.

He has also won 11 bracelets, even more than Doyle Bruson and Johnny Chan.

Seriously though, preflop/flop/turn are all super standard and good, obv. River is close but I think I'd probably fold, but I don't hate a call either. It's really player dependant and against most unknowns I think a call here is probably slightly -EV, but that's just a hunch more than anything else.

flip a coin on the river, if it lands on edge fold because of the backdoor hearts or whatever

otherwise I think it's totally standard

better question: if the river is a 2x, how much do you call?
