Default Question about Pokey\'s article: Optimal Play at $25NL

In his article, Pokey says he plays all pocket pairs, KQ, AJ-AK from ep, and nothing else. However he says he only raises 1010-AA and the KQ-AK hands. Does this mean he is advocating open limping utg with 99 and below? Also, this is pretty newbish but when he says mp and lp, mp he is referring to UTG+1 and lp is the CO and BTN right?

I assume:
EP: UTG
MP: UTG +1
LP: CO + BTN

I did not read the article but I seriously doubt he advocates open limping 99 and below from any position.

See thats what I dont understand, he says he plays all pp's utg, but only raises 1010+, so doesnt that imply open limping?

One more question also, he says he will play any king from the CO and BTN if it is folded to him. This means suited or unsuited as well? Doesnt that seem very loose to raise with K2o?

wtf at open limping 99? raise this and hit your set and stack your opponant.

The worst think in the world is to hit a set in an un-raised pot

and i dont play bad king offsuit from the CO

also , if he limp all PP below 1010 utg its so easy to read.

Yes, that is something I do all the time, I never open limp, ever. But this confused me alot. How about the late position raising thing?

I never raise with those bad offsuit king.Im sure you lose a lot of money if you do that.If its folded to you and you got like K4 of diamonds on the CO or button im raising sometimes and sometimes im folding , it really depend of the table and the people in the blinds.

Back in 2006 limping UTG wasn't as obvious at 25NL as it is now. You could pretty much do anything you wanted and nobody would ever notice.

Would it be fair to say then that even playing suited kings in lp is incorrect then or is it still a +ev move?
