Not sure if this was mentioned before now but Daiel said the most HE would wager was 100K making the most anybody else would need to put up 500K.

DN is taking, not laying.

oops, briefly perused the blog. Guess I should not skim and actually read.

post this on the fcp forum and there is a 100% chance he will respond and accept.

I just signed up for his forum, but I'm not allowed to PM Daniel or reply to the thread about the bet. Maybe I need X number of posts first. If someone is a regular over there, maybe you can post a pointer to this thread?

At the end of the day, I know Daniel knows about the $50k bet and would have booked it if he wanted the action. His reasons for not doing so are his own, and could be as pedestrian as plain 'ol lazyness or busyness.

[/ QUOTE ]
I PM'ed him for you with a link to this thread.

I offered, and am still offering anyone a price on me winning a WSOP bracelet this year. I had several offers the first time I posted it, so here is a reminder to those interested: you can lay me 5-1 and I'll be willing to bet up to $100,000 that I'll win a bracelet in 2007. For those who don't know how that works exactly, you'd put up $500 if you lose, and win $100 if I'm unable to win a bracelet.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've tried several times to book this bet with Daniel at $50k. At first he responded to emails and PMs. When it came time to book and post the bet, he stopped replying.

Haven't heard from him since late March despite many attempts.

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you kidding me? E-mail pattylandis@hotmail.com. You can still get a bet down.

He posted this at or before March?

[/ QUOTE ]

History: some goofball started this thread that Daniel showed up in and proposed the 5-1 bracelet bet. We PM'ed back and forth several times, and agreed to book the bet. Though there are several people we both know that would have vouched for me, I offered to post the bet either in person in Vegas or via online transfer or via bank wire. Daniel stopped replying once we got this far.

[ QUOTE ]
Why not approach him directly at the Rio?

[/ QUOTE ]

Funny enough I was headed over to talk with him but I saw you on the way to his table. (shaniac > DN, obv) When we finished booking details of our props, I ran into Bob Bright and talked with him for a bit. By the time we ironed out some details I forgot about Daniel.

Sadly enough, I'm one of the few guys that got fed up with Harrah's and came back home after being unable to register for the Saturday and Sunday's events. (I woke up every two hours and went to the cage-- lines were never less than 3 hours long)

Don't worry, I'm flying back in as soon as the big cash games heat up, so I'll be there for your 3 Final Table Victory dinner.

I'm going to try posting on Daniel's FCP right now.

[/ QUOTE ]

I have recieved no PM from you at all, and am BEGGING for action. E-mail Patty today and I'll still let you lay 5-1.

i understand where hes coming from. he likes to go out with his friends for some down time away from the spotlight but because of his celebrity status its very hard for him to have fun or relax so he chooses to socialise out of the public domain. either way i doubt it bothers too many people

[/ QUOTE ]

It would bother you if you politely approached him and were flaked off like dandruff, which I get the very strong impression is exactly what he would do if in the presence of anyone he wanted to impress (Eric Lindgren, Phil Ivey Patrick Antonious). We all knew people like this in high school, Danny just hasn't grown up.

If you are going to socialize in the public domain and soak up all the D-list celebrity fringe benefits and adulation every self-important shitwad attention whore is obviously seeking when they go to the trendy places and so forth, you have no business feigning displeasure when indulged... not in the way he did anyway. Read the paragraph again, it sure sounds like to me he's trying to be the coolest cat who ever crept instead of humbly communicating from the heart how uncomfortable he is with overly friendly strangers.

THAT'S NOT COOL.

[/ QUOTE ]

You couldn't be more wrong and obviously don't know me at all. I'm more than happy to meet and greet with people, but often when you go to a bar to play pool, people there are drinking alcohol. When people drink alcohol, they sometimes become beligerent and cross the line of what's cool and what's not. For example, I go out with three of my buddies, no not poker players, and we play 2 on 2 pool. Then some random dude decides that he wants in and grabs a cue. You try to explain politely that you are just hanging with your buddies and he starts rambling about how he needs to play with us. Just a FEW games.

I say no again, then the drunk dude gets upset. That's when my friends step in and tell the guy it's not cool.

Stuff like that has happened several times when I've gone out to bars in the past. Most of the time it's cool, but sometimes you get a guy who totally crosses the line.

When I was at the "BOB" in Grand Rapids a couple of guys seemed cool so I ended up playing pool with them and hanging out till closing time.

Most of the time it's cool, but if you had to deal with sometimes drunk, beligerant, pushy people, you'd fully understand what I'm talking about.

Your site won't let me PM you, probably because I just signed up this morning. My user name there is "Admo"-- if you ask the admin wizards there to give me posting or PM'ing privileges, I'll gladly move this over to your place.

If you check your PM box here on 2p2, we exchanged several PM's in March. I've PM'ed you a couple times since then with no reply.
