im not sure about a bet on the turn, as played i like a fold, if he had bet like 300, then probably call, but i hate to lose 600 chips in this situation when your wrong

I think I'd play it the same and fold to the river bet. I'd call if it were smaller or I had more chips. I think there's merit to betting half the pot on the turn and shutting down to any further resistance, but keeping the pot relatively small and preserving your stack with a hand that has showdown value seems like a better option to me.

From your read on villian, betting t300 on the turn will be called like 100% but may get you a cheap showdown as I doubt villian will fire at the river with air and will most likely check the river.
Checking the turn could induce a bluff from villian but your hand is not strong enough and your stack is not deep enough to look him up so fold the river. |
