Easy way: Fold
Hard way: C/r and barrel the turn

If you were in the BB and the tag was in the SB and he folded after the BTN bet, then we'd have a discussion. In your situation folding is still probably best.

One thing to note... when a 58/29 open limps on the button... what kind of hand does he have here? I'm guessing he's getting tricky with a big PP. I don't think this kinda guy is folding any pair on this board. So yeah... just fold and wait for times you do have a hand to punish him.

It's not like he's a 25/21 who decided to limp, he does limp with a variety of hands pf and its much more likely that he has absolute crap than a big hand he's trying to be tricky with. OTOH the pot is kinda small so fighting for it may not be the best idea

Another problem is we know the tag is never betting the flop with Ax or 8x. So the fact that the tag's hand is undefined is another factor besides the small pot mantra that would lead me to check/fold here.

I think the hard way is hard for a reason.

Just giving up is the best course of action. CRing w/ air in a 3 way pot is just kind of spewy and like ILP said, you don't exactly have the raging green light since the TAG is (correctly) CRing any A or 8 here.

yes, donk or check-fold. If we bet we put pressure on BB (even if he knows we bluff he got crazy button behind), if we check(raise) we are pressured by BB behind us.

I only donk here if I have seen this button give up on flops before. If he always calls or raises its meaningsless.

If we donk, BB folds and Btn floats, aren't we committed to fire a second barrel?

No, then we check/fold the turn cuz the play is over. If the BTN is smart enough to call the flop with nothing knowing we have nothing he deserves the pot.
