I know I should have just pushed pf. Then the dreaded ace hits....most of the time they bet this flop when checked to if they have the ace, IME. Easy turn call?

Honestly It looks fine to me. I don't hate the raise Pf but like you said I think it should just go in there with the villians stack. At this limit that is an easy turn call.

I feel like we lose a lot of value shoving preflop. I expect a lot of hands we want to see call will fold, and when we do get called we're often behind 4-to-1 or flipping against AK.

I'd expect to see JJ-99 a lot of the time here. Villian called the reraise, but didn't push, which likely rules out AA-QQ, AK.

My guess is the Ace scared him too, and he pushed after you checked twice.
