Default 2 simple party poker questions

I can't figure out how to do this. Someone please enlighten this noob:

1) How do I quickly change seats at a table? When I press 'leave table' button and try to rejoin the same table, the software puts me in the same seat and doesn't give me a chance to pick a new seat.

2) How do I add players to my buddy list and search for them? There are several people I would love to play with in future sessions and would like to seek them out. How do you guys do it?

Sorry for the stupid questions and thanks in advance!

To my knowledge, they don't make #1 easy to do. I'm not sure how long you have to be gone from the table to be able to grab a new seat, but there does seem to be a time lag.

I remember a couple years ago they had allowing seat changes on their software development todo list, but it never happened. My guess is that they saw chaos as a possibility, not to mention tons of confusion among people regarding paying the blinds, etc.

By the way, people usually changes seats to improve their position versus particular other players. For instance, if you have a maniac on your left, you may prefer him on your right.

Regards,

T

Jehaim, thanks for the answer to Q2. I was looking in the wrong places for a solution.

I usually like to sit a few spots to the left of maniacs/LAGs but don't want to leave for X minutes to change seats.
