I like the way you played this hand.

If you have enough hands and know that he is a good player i think you can make a tough laydown on the River because the best case is a splitpot.

which worse hands is a "17/12/3.7/27 villian " calling?
He never calls preflop with AJ or postflop with KK on the turn.Bluffing with trips sucks.

was debating if you should have bet the turn, but if villian is likely to call regardless of amount imo, check was good. there are better places to get your money in their. you could already be beaten on the turn, small boat perhaps. easier hand to lay down though since river flopped a spade giving villan backdoor flush possiblility. still, i find myself always losing these types of hands.
