I had to take about 10 showers while reading Nabakov....I felt so dirty

I read it for the first time when I was 14 or 15 and then again when I was 19 or 20. It is amazing how different my perspective was when I was a teenager reading that book vs college age.

Nabokov > Pynchon > Murakimi > Faulkner > Amis >>>> everyone else

How are you even comparing Nabokov and Pynchon? And if you are going to do it, you should be fair about it:

Nabakov > 'Companion To Gravity's Rainbow' > 'Carry This Book So Girls Will Think Your Smart' (i am still publishing) > Pynchon

hilarious thing is I've read the Crying of Lot 49 about 10 times, but I think I've read 10X that amount of volume on interpretations of the book.

Drinking while gambling and reading Dostoevsky and wenching >>> reading alone.

I think there is value on Gore for Peace Prize at Pinny at +312. Betus has it at +250 and tradesports has it at almost even money. There would be a very nice arb if pinny didn't have a max of $50.

[/ QUOTE ]Ship it.
