Default Did I play this right? :|

Playing in super good game on crypto. 27/1/0.6 limps UTG (he almost never raises, and when he does, it's his medium-good hands and not ultrapremium ones. He loves to checkraise postflop, which somewhat balances his ridiculous preflop play), I raise AA, generally bad 47/3/0.9 cold calls, blinds fold. 3 ways to flop, 7 SB in pot

Flop: 9TJ rainbow, checked to me, I bet, 47/3 guy raises, UTGlimper cold calls, I call.

Turn 8.. 89TJ rainbow board, 7.5 BB
checked to me, I bet intending to fold to a raise?

Am I playing this wrong? This situation sucks and I would like to get away cheaply. I might have just convinced somebody with a set or idiot straight to call me down. Should I just check-and-see (folding the vast majority of times there is action) on this turn instead of wasting a bet here?

I think checking through is a better play. Then take appropriate acion on the river depending on opponents play...

Thanks for the reply alobar..

What do you do if -

the preflop cold caller bets and the other guy folds?

the PFCC bets and the other guy calls?

This situation gave me hives, and it was at the end of a session in which I wasn't playing well anyway.

Honestly, I hope it goes bet/raise so Im saved from having to make any decision

If it goes bet/call I fold. If it goes bet/fold Im torn. I think calling 2 streets here is -EV OOP, but I hate calling the turn hoping for a free showdown. If hes weak enough to give me one then I go for it, but if he isnt...I dunno, id say fold, but that just feels wrong.

Preflop and flop: Look good.

Turn: I would rather check/fold. The board is so scary that I think your passive opponents are much less likely to bluff. I think the time to bet this turn is when a blank falls, not a bad card.

Just my opinion...
