Default Fult Tilt proof of address hoops

I don't know if I was going to request a check that takes 6 weeks to get here, but I was trying to set things up for that. Sent them a drivers license copy blown up to 2.5xsize in each dimension with modifications on darkness and contrast.

Hello,

Thank you for faxing Full Tilt Poker Customer Support.

Unfortunately, the fax of your driver?s license is once again too dark and grainy to be able to verify. We would request at this time, that you please have it digitally scanned. If you do not have access to a scanner there are a number of business's that do offer the scanning and faxing
services.

Please realize we are not trying to make this process difficult for you, our players and their funds are important to us and therefore all security measures must be taken.

Once again, you may e-mail us a scanned copy of your information or fax these documents to 1-877-TILT-FAX (1-877-845-8329). Remember to include the reason why you're sending in your ID, your Full Tilt Poker player ID, and your real name on the fax to expedite the processing of your documents.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to email us again.

Regards,

Dave

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker support.

I understand that you are inquiring with regards to withdrawing funds
from your Full Tilt Poker account "XXXXX", via check.

As stated in previous correspondence, we have received a copy of your
Driver's License and utility bill however, the Driver's License is
illegible.

In order to verify your age and identity, we will need you to resend
this document. Please ensure that when you fax or scan the document to
use the highest possible resolution so that it remains clear.

Before you resend the information, please double-check to make sure
that
the documents are formatted such that we are able to read all letters
and numbers. If we receive illegible documents, we will be unable to
use
them and would have to ask you to send the information again.

Once again, you may submit your documents to 1-877-TILT-FAX
(1-877-845-8329). Remember to include the reason why you're sending in
your ID, your Full Tilt Poker player ID, and your real name on the fax
to expedite the processing of your documents.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. If there's anything else
we can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.

Best of luck at the tables!

Regards,

Krystina

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Customer Support.

This e-mail confirms that we have received your utility bill and
driver?s license. While the utility bill on file is acceptable and has
been verified, your driver?s license is too dark and grainy to read. We
request that you have your photo ID scanned. If you do not have access
to a scanner there are a number of businesses that provide scanning and
faxing services.

If you wish, you can take a photo within a 36" distance range, please
enable the macro feature which appears as a tulip icon on your camera.
If your camera does not support macro function, please take the photo
from a distance of about 40? ? 48? from both the driver?s license and
utility bill. Please ensure that you take the picture in a well lit
room and that the flash is disabled as this tends to white out portions
of the license. A digital photo is easily attached to an e-mail.

Scans generally produce a higher success rate for verification as the
photo quality is much higher. If you still choose to fax, please take
advantage of the contrast setting most fax machines have. Setting the
contrast higher generally diminishes the blackening of the photo which
results in a lighter and clearer photo when faxed.

Once again, you can e-mail these documents to us at
support@fulltiltpoker.com or fax to 1-877-TILT-FAX. Please use a
resolution of 400 dpi or higher when sending your documents and make
sure faxes are clear and legible or they will be asked to be re-sent.

Checks may be requested for amounts $300 or greater up to a maximum of
$10,000, and can be requested only once every 7 days. Once you are
verified for checks, you will need to request a cash out through the
Cashier window. Approved checks are delivered by regular mail in 25-35
business days. At this time, we regret that we are unable to deliver
checks by UPS to US residents.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience during this time and look
forward to assisting you.

Regards,

Jason K

I had the same thing happen with Bodog like 4 months ago, had to resend my DL like 4 times before they finally got a copy that was acceptable to them, and the 4th time I just scanned my license into my computer and emailed them a .pdf file (had to call them to let them know this before hand or else they wouldn't have taken it).

Your best play is to take your ID to a copy shop, bring a floppy disk/CD-RW with you (depending on if your comp has a floppy drive), and have someone there scan it into a .pdf file and save it to your media. This should only cost a few dollars (likely less) and not be thnat much of a hassle if you have a copy shop in your city.

Just call them and figure out how they'd like you to send it since they can't read it. If they won't take an electronic copy, when you copy it in a copier, make sure to use the lightest settings possible, so that it's legible, but barely readable. Plus, if you are faxing this, make sure to set the fax settings to be lighter than they currently are, faxes don't do well with scanned images like licenses.

Does anyone know why Fulltilt requires all of this documentation whereas other poker sites do not for check withdraws? Customer service told me it was to make sure I entered the correct address when I created my account. That is a load of crap. If I can't verify my address on my own I don't deserve to receive the check.

Requested a check from UltimateBet recently and did not have any problems even though I haven't been playing there long. Received check already.

Isn't anyone concerned about potential of having their identity stolen by mailing all of this personal documentation to Fulltilt?
Drivers license copy, utility bills and or bank statement?
I know, don't worry no one at Fulltilt that is underpaid or disgruntled would do this sort of thing now or in the future.

I've scanned and e-mailed via gmail and it keeps getting bounced back. It's in .jpg format and about 2.5mbs - anyone else having it returned? (I'm sending it to support@fulltiltpoker.com)

This situation does suck, but it is for our benefit with the amount of fraud happening.

Just take a photo and email it. Much less hassle.

Most of the sites do this now.

Are you sure its a jpeg? 2.5 megs is insanely big for a file in that format.
