Default Would/Do you?

I believe under no circumstances that 2 people (married or dating) who visit a restaurant should sit on one side of a booth. My wife believes that this is acceptable. I leave it up to OOT to decide.

It's not something I'd do, but I see it done quite a bit.

I'm generally against it, but if the table is retardedly wide I don't have a problem with it. I wouldn't say no if a girl I liked wanted me to sit on the same side, but I've never had one ask.

I do this all the time. Especially when I'd otherwise be facing away from the TV.

I think its retarded and I laugh inside about it whenever I see a couple doing it. But tons of couples do it, so I think I may be in the minority when it comes to how dumb I think it is.

As a matter of routine, no. But if we were having a particularly romantic moment, or if she needed comforting, sure.

It just seems super awkward in that you have to constantly be turning to talk to each other. I say that if it just two of you the only exceptions are:

1) Other side has something spilled/dirty on it

2) You need to face something (stage, tv, etc.)

3) You are expecting others and don't want them sitting next to you.

4) The table is very big and you are sharing some sort of a scorpion bowl.

5) She is cold and needs body warmth

6) You're getting a HJ between courses.

this happened to me last vday, the booth was really wide so there was room but it didnt cross my mind, I sat on the opposite end and got like the sad puppy dog look to sit on the same end. I was confused and like people dont do that and felt weird at first but it wasnt too bad I guess. Still nothing I would do voluntarily.

I always thought it was weird/dumb but my GF likes it so now I am used to it and have become indifferent to whether others do it. It has some benefits, like eating her food since she never finishes it. Also she is constantly cold so likes me to hold her often.
