Check behind and see the river for free. You have nothing. You 7 outs to a possible second best hand.. Calling would have been okay.. here.. if you bet and villain raises then you have to fold. Why risk folding when you have a guarantee that you get to see the river for free.

I would take a sure thing over a speculation.
