Default 11$ speed: AK linecheck

I have been thinking about how to play AK lately.

In many sngIcon videos, they limp a lot with AK in early levels, but I have not yet implemented this in my game. I have to admit, I'm not completely convinced I like it.

I'd like to get some opinions on these lines with AK:

1.

No reads yet on players in hand.

1. UTG I limp for pot control, and in LP I open for T180. As played flop is fine tho some may suggest shoving w/ flush draw + 2 overs.

2. I open for t250, but 300 is fine. Flop is nh.

3. I think there's something wrong with the converted hand, but if you shoved pre then nh.

I think the main reason they limp AK and AQ is to keep the worse aces in the hand, that will often go broke postflop with top pair (Axs, AT+) at the low limits.

I think they also limp, then reraise all in with AK at the low limits. This probably wins the pot uncontested enough and wins flips, to make up for the times you're called by aces/kings.

Also they see slightly more flops than is usually advised by the forum, such as calling in MP with KQs, raising late position with JTs, and completing almost any SB. Players might let you limp more if you have a few limp-reraise hands in your game.

I would never really limp AK unless I had a read that someone will raise behind allow me to shove Pre.

Hand 2 + 3 are standard if you got it in.

Hand 1 as played check for free card and shove over that raise.

Thanks for the help, guys.

The handconverter is a bit weird (ie an all in for 2000 is "hero calls for 2000"), but it is the only one, that I can get to work with my party handhistories, for some reason. I hope it does not confuse too much.

Another AK emerges...

I hate drawing for flushes... And I dont know if my overs are good (this is a 4-way pot). Had it been against one opponent, I would have c-bet (and pushed over raise) or c/r AI. But 4 way... I felt it was a bad spot.

But I'm listening, I'm here to learn.
