No reason to raise the turn in hand 2.

Plenty of reason, you're all-in for the last raise.

I didn't notice our miniscule stack. Fine by me then.

Hand 1: Someone almost certainly has a straight on the flop and he is behind. It is possible someone has a higher set. He doesn't have the odds to call.

Hand 2: His hand is marginal preflop, but he is on the button and his call isn't terrible.

His middle set is good on the flop since someone would have reraised the flop with top set. Someone may have a spade flush draw too. On the turn, it is possible that someone made a straight, but more likely not based on the betting. If hero is wrong and he is behind, he still has a lot of outs for a full house or maybe a chop for a straight.

hand one is the most interesting since there's a chance we'd be able to get it AI against two nut straights with other straight redraws (a good spot) but we have one of our own (hopeful) outs in our hand and it's likely that somebody who has made a straight has also made a pair or two, which really cuts into our EV. If we raise we risk folding out UTG+1 and playing a hu allin pot as a dog, and if we call and the original raiser calls we don't have any implied odds and we don't know where we're at. A small percentage of the time in hand one we'll be up against the made straight and JJ, and those times we're in really bad shape.

in hand two we think we have the best hand the whole time, so we're betting it.
