I think both the raise and size preflop are fine; it's a potsized raise. It could be $1.50 but w/e. The $3 on the flop is fine, and I need a strong read not to fold the flop. We have a medium hand, which is not likely to improve; calling or raising commits us and UTG screams strength.

Yes, you have made a big pot with a medium hand, but this isn't the way it usually goes. Normally they fold preflop, fold the flop or call the flop.
