Default Driving to Ocean City, help me avoid traffic hotspots

Next Thursday afternoon (5/31) I'll be driving from New Haven CT to Ocean City MD.

All the mapping websites suggest just hopping I95 through NY & NJ, and hang a left onto Rt 13 in Delaware.

For you tri-staters, where will I have traffic issues and do you have suggestions for alternate routes in case I get trapped?

go at night.

haha, there's plenty of other options, but all of them will be jammed up too. I'd suggest 287 around the city, for example, but it's probably a nightmare on the East side of the Hudson River whenever you're planning on going.

Planniong on leaving by 1pm so we can avoind the most serious NYC rush hour stuff.
If something gets in the way of 1pm, we'll probably stick arounnd and leave after 4...

oh man,I've got some fun stories about Ocean City... On another note, that place has really gone down hill. You can't walk down the boardwalk at night with any girls, without every single white-trash group of losers from down-home PA, or wherever the hell, bothering the living [censored] out of you. If I'm drunk it's always a formula for disaster

Assuming no traffic, how much longer would this be?
