I don't understand why Ansky would check the turn behind with AK.

He was OOP.

Checking makes sense to me there.

I like a bet on the turn obviously.

I don't mind the river call too much. Your line looks fairly weak so far, and I think a creative player could easily raise the river with air.

IMO, u have to be able fold block bets on the river when u get raised. However, good opponents will often raise u with air so it is up to your intuitions when to fold and when to call.

But why on earth pretty much announce your hand and give yourself a hard decision when you have no clue where you are at?

I really don't like the lead out. Are you trying to put yourself in a really tough spot, because that's what a bet like that is gonna create.

To those players saying that Ansky can't have AK or an underfull here, I completely disagree. He could easily think hero is likely to have nothing or a random pocket pair, and the only way to get money out of him is to check.

In the rare case that I call preflop (I'll be honest, one of my leaks probably is that I do make this call too often preflop), and hit TP on the flop vs a laggro player, I'm check calling the flop w/ no real intentions of betting or raising on any street.

^ yep that seems pretty much on point. I call AQ here too much preflop but I'm trying to get to showdown as cheap as possible on this flop. The lead out does the opposite of that.
