Default 10/20 Flopped set...not crazy about how I played this

I haven't noticed much about villain, seems pretty TAG and hasn't got out of line. We're on a few tables together. I've been Taggy too. This hand, especially the turn felt really awkward. I'm not sure if I like my checkraise, and then putting myself in a bad spot where I have (?) to call down knowing I'm probably beat. Or maybe this is just a bad beat post...

PokerStars ($20 no limit). Hand converted by Check Raised hand converter

SB ($940.00) (SB)
HERO ($6528.40) [ ] (BB)
UTG ($134.10) (UTG)

I have been in this spot many times. It comes down to the player and your read on that player. You said he is TAG, which leads me to believe he has a made hand on the turn, but the turn card is one that is perfect for semi-bluffing with AcX, etc. I am not too good with numbers, so I dont know if you have to call down, but I think getting all in on the turn is better than on the river if its a brick.

having checked turn i would just call. you really think he is stacking off with AcKx or something here? i think having lead the flop you should lead turn too, probably folding to a raise.

Why would you cr the turn? Repping a flush/straight when you have a set is meh.

After having checked I really hated both calling and check raising here...the main reason I raised was to protect my hand from a lot of bad river cards, I knew it was pretty transparent I had a big hand. But then when he pushes after I've shown that much strength...my set doesn't look so good.

Maybe I should have bet out the turn? I thought checking would disguise my set more, but then I got myself in trouble after he bet.

I'd probably chec-call turn and c/c a blank river. Turn check-raise + call is really ugly, you're virtually never ahead and drawing slim when behind... which is like almost always.

uhh I disagree

if your c/r is calling you're never drawing slim (except to a bigger set, but even vs flush quite live)

and you can be ahead easily, lots of 2pair hands that wont fold, in addition to like big pair + fd, some combo draws, etc.

I hate check calling turn, unless you think hell stack off with 2p on river, i dont think a taggish player would.

turn CR isnt great.
I think a turn lead is best.
Lead, if you get raised make a read.
I think if you get raised on turn its a monster/bluff situation.(AAc and Akc) are possible but unlikely due to flop action.
