people who want to bet the turn:

why?

[/ QUOTE ]

srsly. fold better? ya right. call from worse? ya right. build pot so when you hit you can make mad monies? that's what fish do. Only reason I could see for betting is a blocking bet of like $400 so you dont have to pay much to draw, but I still think that's bad.

someone explain

looking back thru this thread the central disagreement is whether this guy will try to pot us off a split. If yes c/r is obviously better. I think this opponent will not, especially given a flush hit. Therefore, potting or 3/4 seems much better.

you said villain does not make large river bluffs... so i expect that he won't be one to push this spot here trying to get you off a chop (especially when you could easily have a big flush in your range given ch/ch flop, c/c turn line)...
you also said he's not bad, so i don't think he stacks off with a naked 9 here to a c/rai... or at least i think there's a very good chance he folds it, making it not worth it since he will always call a bet with a 9 anyways.
so i think a bet is the best way to go here...
i like betting 1500$.

villian never shows up with Ak here i dont think. esp given that cts has 3bet a tonnnn. also i dont think any pair or draw folds that turn if we bet. love to hear what cts has to say about turn, though.

couldn't have said it better

dude always bets way too small, so i can draw cheap, and i will have the best hand sometimes too. chances of him folding any pair if i pot the turn... LOL
