c/c on the flop is better than your line if you fold to the rr, imo.

As played it seems hard to call OOP but I'd really like to.

I really like this. Re-evaluate on turn this could be a worse ace or a flush draw and since you didn't raise preflop who knows.

However if you have a read and he is nitty he could have limped ak and aq like most of the people on this forum do.

I think c/c on flop against many players. Sometimes I like to throw in check-raise on flop and see what the opponent does (and obviously folding if re-re-raised), but mostly just against opponents that seem to bet into all signs of weakness.

c/c is probably the safest this early. reads on villain are helpful. If he is nitty then cr is bad. If looser then c/r is a good play I think.
