Bodog deposit flagged by bank

Just some general advice required. I recently opened a new Bodog account for my sportsbook needs. I funded the account through the credit card option (but accidentally used my visa debit card when submitting my info)

Since the deposit on Friday, my bank's transaction review department has left messages on my phone every day to confirm activity on my card. Is the best course of action to simply admit this is for a sportsbook?

Several months back while attempting to open a new betcris account, Western Union asked me what the nature of the account was (Like a dope, i said sportsbook and they would not let the transaction go through). Don't want to make the same mistake twice.

just tell them that you approve the transaction

They may shut off your card if you don't call them back. There's a good chance they won't ask what the transaction is for, they just want to know that you authorized it and your card wasn't stolen and used without your permission. If they do ask, I would assume they don't know, so I would make up something. Definitely don't use the word sportsbook during the call! Hopefully it will just be a matter of saying you approve, and have a nice day. That has been the case with other posters on this forum.

My credit card company called me after I made a deposit to Full Tilt. They knew what it was for and just wanted to confirm that I made the purchase. I don't think you should tell them what its for though. They probably won't ask, but if they do just tell them it's none of their business.

I would strongly advise you to call them. Like others have said they might lock your account if you don't call back.

thanks, all. I called them back and they didn't require details. I'm good to go. I was still a bit gun-shy after completely mishandling the Western Union betcris deposit.
