According to ESPN, Norv wasn't picked because he wanted to possibly run the 4-3 with Rivera being the D-Coordinator. With Dallas spending rediculous picks on 3-4 type guys, J. Jones needed a 3-4 type coach.

Seems he understood it was not the same Cowboys organization that he had worked for before. |
