Default Weird overbetter from 55k

This hand happened to me the other day in the 55k. I didn't get the HH so I'll try to describe the situation.

This guy had just moved to our table, and raised UTG about 7x the BB to ~4200 (I guess blinds were 300/600 or so?). He had quite a large stack of 30k or so (comfortably above average), and I had roughly the same amount. I was UTG +2 with QQ...wtf do I do? Whats his range?

I decided to flatcall, and everyone else folded. The flop was 3 hearts all below a jack, and I didnt have a heart. He quickly fired out nearly a potsized bet (~9k). What do you do? Now what do you think his range is?

I agonized for a while and decided to fold, bah
