Why do you need to go home for those 19 weeks? I would go home for christmas and thanksgiving and just hang out in my awesome apartment the rest of the time.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't know what other peoples experiences are, but when I was at Uni last time, the whole building went home at Christmas, Easter and the Summer. Probably different when you have a student flat in the second and third year, but that is ages away.

Why is that ages away? Can't you just get an apartment in the city near your school? I can't imagine EVERYONE goes away.

The few times I did have to move back home it was with me paying rent for the room that was provided to me and helping out with groceries and utilities. Crying about not having your own room for holidays/summer vacation is just so "spoiled" to me, imo, ldo. T

This has kinda been sorted now. I'll stay with my hippy mum during holidays. Partly because of the problem above, but also because I get an assload of free money from the government in the form of a student grant when I go to uni because her household income is like £0. UK taxpayers - hahahaha ty for the monies I don't even need!!!!
