two ugly deep spots against same fish
Villain is 51/3/1.5 over 400 hands. I stacked him earlier where I flopped a set in an unraised pot in position. He mincheckraised the turn when he turned top and bottom and called the shove for 100BBs more.
These are $600NL Hand #1 Hero: $1560 Villain: $1650 3-handed Button raises to $21, Hero calls in SB w/ 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Villain calls in BB. Flop ($63) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] checks around Turn ($63) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero bets $54, Villain calls, Button folds River ($171) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero bets $158, Villain shoves, ~$1330 to call Hand #2 Hero: $4150 Villain :$1970 MP limps, CO raises to $33, Button folds, Hero reraises to $128 in SB w/ K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Villain calls, MP folds, CO calls Flop ($390) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero bets $280, Villain minraises, Hero calls (??) Turn ($1530) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero checks, Villain shoves, $1300 to call This is not the first time he has cold-called my 4-bet like this. He did it a couple orbits ago but then he got disconnected on the flop, so I never got to see his hand. |

Re: two ugly deep spots against same fish
esp with his really high vpip and history of badly overvaluing hands via minraise you gotta be pretty happy to get it in in hand 2

Re: two ugly deep spots against same fish
Can't he be playing AK same way in 1? Or a lone 8?

Re: two ugly deep spots against same fish
i don't think you are beating much in hand 1 besides a total bluff (unlikely) or maybe even a hand like 9-8 or something weird like that.
i don't really like hand 2 either, but wouldn't mind getting it in there. honestly, i think you are beat in both these hands. |

Re: two ugly deep spots against same fish
1: I would just fold, the pot is so small compared to his shove, really gross.
2: seems like a really easy call, what stopped you from just shoving flop? |

Re: two ugly deep spots against same fish
posted hands are often beats, but looking at the hand away fromt he table hand 1 is probably a fold and 2 is a call, but in the heat of the moment id probably pay off hand 1 and call hand 2 over half the time.

Re: two ugly deep spots against same fish
1 - i would not fold. too much chance he's saying "ZOMG 3 8's!!!!" this is much closer than #2 though.
2 - snapcall and be happy. i think folding this would terrible. |
