Default HSP Discussion hand 1

I've been Youtubing some old High Stakes poker hands. For one I enjoy it. For two I obviously pick up things from the best players in the world. Lets discuss your thought process on this hand. 8 handed table. Dr. Amir Nassieri, with a stack of 190k opens in MP1 to $2600 (blinds 300/600,ante $100). daniel negreanu (around a 800k) calls in the MP3, barry greenstein calls in the CO (around 100k), and you have 57offsuit (5 spades, 7 clubs) and the button (stack of around 600k). First discuss the call.....

Okay, step 2...the flop (pot, $12,100)
5h Qc 5c

Nassieri checks, Negreanu checks, Greensteins bets $6000, you ???

I like a raise because Greenstein can talk himself into calling with alot of hands because it looks like you could be re-stealing, as well as the fact that its such a dry flop to be raising a 5.

I call. then let a six come one the turn. barry checks, I bet he moves all in. I say " well I have to call" and call. and see that I slowplayed myself t death.

doyle should have raised this hand. but the board wasn't a threat and he knew barry would continue being aggressive on the turn and could get a another bet out of him.

[/ QUOTE ]Yeah it is. Just watch High Stakes Poker where daniel negraneau convinces himself into calling down every single hand. IT'S GENIUS!
