Default AKs Big Blind

20 left in a 300 person 109, I'm in fourth with 30k chips.

7 handed. Blinds 600 1200, 75 ante. Im in the bb holding ad kd.

Chip leader with 40k raises UTG+1 to 3600. Folded to me, pot is 5925.

Decision 1 preflop. Flat call or raise?

I flat call. Pot is 8325, I have about 26.5k.

Flop is 4d qd js.

Your move and why?

yo raise pf, really. I'd check/shove this flop cause of stack sizes.

What are we reraising to preflop here? Seems like stack size makes a reraise kinda awkward.

Also, we were at the same table in the 33NL tonight and you didn't even say hi.

I didn't know who you were. What's your excuse?

Are you talking to me re: the 33r?

I don't think I played one today.

No, regular $30/3.

Think it was PLHE.

And I really think it was you.

If not, sorry.

Preflop, either call or reraise all in, depending on your image, the image you want to have, and your read on opponent.

Flop, check/raise all in. No matter what, you have at least 12 outs and that board is scary for anyone who doesn't have QQ/JJ/44/QJ.

Additional questions I've been thinking about:
1. What stack sizes make this an open push on the flop?
2. What stack sizes make this a check/raise but not all in on the flop?
3. If opponent checks behind on the flop and we brick turn, what do we do? (I'd tend to check and call, and check raise if I hit the turn with the straight/flush but check/call if I hit an A/K.)

I would push PF w/ this hand. You're only going to hit 1/3 of the time, and you can get called by dominated hands. I push and try to take it down right there as you will be OOP for the rest of the hand. Post flop I also push and try to take down the pot.

I push this PF.

As played, c/r all-in on the flop.

If you check, he's c-beting with whatever he's got to take down the pot. If you then push, he's calling with big hands, maybe calling with decent hands and folding underpairs.

If you open push the flop, he's calling with big hands, probably not calling with decent hands and folding underpairs.

Any reads could be very helpful as well...

You probably want to felt this one on the flop. It looks like check raising is going to get you the most money against the hands that you have the most outs on, and you really should try to get it all in here as you have 12-18 outs twice (most likely 12) against hands that are currently ahead of you. Giving you 48% - 64%.
