Default River tubing.

River tubing has been a joy of mine since I was in high school. It consists of getting a group of people together anywhere from the size of 6 to 50 or to only god knows how many people on apple river. Everybody brings however much beer with them that they want by floating a cooler with a rope down the river with them, and whoever wants to bring "other things" can do that too. Depending on who you're with it can either be one of the most relaxing things, or one of the most rowdy things of your life. I'm curious if this is just a local thing where it's really popular to do here or in the midwest in general, or if this is a pretty common thing for everyone when they're still young. I guess what I'm asking is, Have you ever gone river tubing?

I agree that it's very fun and it does happen in California reasonably often.

A few years ago some [censored] tied a keg to his leg. Well the keg fell out of the tube, sunk, and brought the dude with it.

Ha, there's no way this is true. I mean, I like beer and all, but why the hell would you ever tie a keg to your leg?

SO it doesn't float away, duh. And don't bother asking why he didn't tie it to the tube the keg was in, that's just dumb.

I've done it so many times on the Salt River in Phoenix that I know where all the rapids are by heart and when to "lift up!!"

Great summer activity.

We float down the Colorado river a lot. One of my favorite things to do.

I've never actually done it with a keg, but we've always talking about floating a flat bottom down with us or something to carry a keg with us. How did you pull it off exactly? I also figured that cups would be much easier to get river water splashed into then cans/bottles.
