Party11: i\'m a sneaky, sneaky slowplayer

other dude-t9168 i get J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in the SB and complete(i push frequently in this spot, but i don't here; i have a reason but i don't know if it is a good one). other dude checks in the BB. Blinds-300/600 Flop: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] he checks, i check. [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] Turn: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] he bets t600 and i push. okay or no way? i guess it should be known that in the other limit forum that i frequent i am known to be overly/unnecessarily fancy at times. i feel like i should be chastised or something.

[/ QUOTE ] this doesn't seem very "fancy" in fact it lets ur opponent play perfectly. call with a hand that beats you or fold. two simple decisions. to suck him in i'd have raised to 3k. then IF he checks to you on the river 2/3 pot it. if he bets, just call.

I would not push. The only thing it accomplishes is making him laying down a bluff, a weak hand or a draw.
I would put in 1800 (accomplishes almost as much as a shove) and fold to a reraise.

yeah, i was going through my emails from party and looked at this hand, went to PT and looked at it and it just seemed, well, not good, to me. i don't exactly know what the push accomplishes outside of maybe looking like an overzealous steal attempt that would induce like, any pair to call. that is what i was going for...anyway i think you guys are probably more correct seeing as how you've played a million more of these things than i. what about pf? what would you guys have done?
