Who is more out of line? Am I out of line at all?

Playing 3-5 NL Live in Lake Tahoe. There is a pot of about $500 (2 players) on Board of J 10 9 3 8, no flushes. River action is Check - Check.

Player 1 turns over J 10 (2 pair), Player 2 turns over Q 10(straight) he did not see. The dealer also does not see the straight and precedes to muck Player 2's cards. Right before the winning hand gets mucked, another player at the table verbally points out the straight, and I verbally agree.

Once player 2 is pushed the pot, Player 1 starts yelling at me, saying that I am an amateur and everyone at the table is an amateur. All I say is “Sorry, Pro” and address him as “Pro” twice more.

About 30 min. later I get involved in a fairly large pot. heads-up with an unanimous player, I bet $700 on river into a pot of $1,100. Right after I make my bet, Player 2 who is not in the hand says “Call Him! He was on a flush draw.” because he was still mad about the pot he lost.

This seemed extremely out of line to me… Ruling??

(1) Cards speak. Its OK to correct the dealer error here.

(2) Calling him pro was probably a dickish move. Saying any more than "Card's speak," and "Dealer, please call the floor," is probably inadvisable.

(3) One player to a hand. The pro was out of line chiming in.

How'd I do?

Seriously, what ruling are you looking for? Finish the hand, call the Floor, and demand that Mr Jerk be told to shut up (during the hand) or be 86'd.

P.S. You were right to point out the winning hand.

I'm confused.. You helped player 2 get the pot he deserved in hand 1, yet in hand two, player 2 told unanimous villain to call you down because you were still mad about the pot that you just lost even though it was player 1(not you) that lost that hand.. Where did I get mixed up?

1) If it's the case, don't bluff missed flush draws in live casino play.

2) Play pots against anonymous opponents, not unanimous ones.

3) Are you actually on a missed flush draw in the $700-river-bet hand? This makes a difference as to whether or not to call the floor. If you have a hand you feel will win at showdown, calling the floor would be silly, simply stay quiet and hope this guy's commentary leads to a call. If you actually have air, you can call the floor, although this will accomplish nothing.

I screwed up, It was Player 1 who was saying "call him" and it was player 1 that I was having words with..

I tend to agree with the above rulings - you should point out that a tabled hand is winner if dealer misreads board. Cards speak, even if the player can't read em.

And this is yet another reason I don't go out of my way to piss off people at my table. I'm sure you had fun calling him Pro, but its just not worth it.
