Well my thinking on the turn was that his range is pretty polarized here.....seems it's either AK or a bluff. If we have any sort of history together, this obviously changes but he knows nothing about me atm, so I figure I'm probably good enough times here to call the turn and river given an A or Q doesn't come off. Also worth noting, when he checks the flop back it seems to me has has a lower pair than TT, a jack, or possibly AQ/AK. On the turn, I think it's reasonable for him to check again with a J or to bet 1 street for value, but I don't think he's ever betting the river for value with just a J here. Do people think that this could ever be a smaller pair like 88 turned into a bluff? Couldn't he have some sort of weird suited connector type of hand given he's likely 3 betting lighter than usual here? Also, do people that advocate c/fing this turn here do the same if they have QQ?

Also, when he checks back the flop, his range certainly can be <TT, a J, AQ or AK,

as for your river assessment, I agree, it certainly is polarized here.

but the turn play is what I was focused on, it seems you beat only a bluff, do you think he fires his low pps here on this scare card, if so, then your call is good, but given lack of 3bet postflop history, I'd just fold.

Welll anyways I called and he had QTd, MHIG. If I wasn't stoned and 2 tabling I probably would have never called down here, and was curious to see how ridiculous people thought this was.

I agree c/f turn is best. The board is ugly, you are oop, 2 overs. He has 3bet you and then fired the turn. These things all together sound pretty -ev to me.
