the post flop part

I don't understand what the harm of checking AA/KK/AK would be on this board. It's not particularly draw heavy and our opponent is either way ahead or way behind. Don't we buy ourselves alot of free cards when we don't have these hands because our opponent is afraid of betting into the nuts?

If I thought you were solid/tricky at all, this doesn't make a lot of sense. Such a bizarre line, you are repping what? How are you checking the turn with a set? This seems like two spades a lot, especially some kind of combo draw. Trying not to be results oriented, but this line is confusing enough that I'm looking you up a lot here, and I think the way you described villain, he's a lot like me. You are hoping he plays scared enough postflop that c/r=nuts rather than bizarre=callcallcallcallcall?

Well the board is pretty dry so I would definitely check KK on the flop. The K wasn't a spade so I could have AKs. So my range here is some sort of combo draw/AKs/KK/AA with AKs/combo draw having the most weight and KK/AA showing up rarely. Does he have the equity here to call with 88-QQ?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes but you checked the turn too.

It looks very much like a bluff from his point of view. I would think 99% of the time AA, KK, AK would either bet the flop or turn.
This is only even marginal if he is scared to lose his stack, otherwise I think he calls down

As far as the hand goes, he may have folded but that's a terrible line to take with AA/KK/AK. You were saying something about representing those hands...

[/ QUOTE ]

If he's going to call down light isn't this an awesome line with AA/KK/AK?

sure, but how often do you actually do it? never, is probably the most likely answer.
