Sonic...there's commercials here for them all the time, but not a Sonic in the state.

[/ QUOTE ]

They wont put them in cold weather states. They want to keep the Sonic experience. I actualy inquired about opening one up. I hate that there are none in NY.

[/ QUOTE ]

What do they consider a cold weather state? We have tons of sonics, and it gets gold here 4 or 5 months out of the year?

My friend went to U of Maryland in arguably the worst college town I have ever seen.

[/ QUOTE ]I didn't go there, but I grew up in Maryland. Just curious as to why you say this.

[/ QUOTE ]

It is a college of 30,000 people, the town has like 4 bars and 4 places to eat where you don't have to risk food poisoning and you have to pay for all of the public parking. Also the nearby townies are apparantly dangerous and students get murdered on rare occasion. If someone can find a worse college town, I will let college Park off the hook.

Chik Fil A would own the united states if they spread out more. There are currently none within 150 miles of Las Vegas or Seattle, only 3 with in 150 miles of Boston (none in the city), 7 within 150 miles of Chicago (none within the city), etc.

OP,

A Chick-Fil-A in SF would print money. At least 3 (downtown, fin dist, marina) would be huge moneymakers. Probably up to about 6.

I actually researched what it would take to open a Chik Fil A because it's so ridiculous there aren't any very close to me. They work pretty hard to make sure that the person who's going to open the store is also going to work there every day. They won't give you more than one without an extremely arduous process, and even then you can MAYBE have two or three stores. If it was just a matter of investment I'd do it in a New York minute.

I went to and still visit friends at UMCP. College Park is garbage as far as college towns go. 4 bars, only one of which is of a decent size and there's not much else in the way of nightlife.
