Default ALL BOOKS WRONG, KINDA ANNOYS ME

I will excuse all older books(pre online boom) but i recently read a new book about playing low online limit, and STOXTRADERS book on tough limit games, and it was 100 percent wrong about low limit games online. Everywhere u read people say most games 3/6 and below are loose games where 4-6 players see the flop, and this cant be further from the truth. These games see 2-4 people to the flop, and are very TAG. It just annoys me because neone who spends more then 5 minutes in one of these rooms can see this. This maybe a rant, but i was shocked when i saw this in stoxtraders new book, because they both claim to have worked their way up from smaller games . This annoys me because if ur gonna write a book about a preticular game(low online limit)dont just write what has been written before n collect a check, make it accurate

The online game changes very quickly... and books do not. In the past year the games below 3/6 have gone from loose to a more aggressive style.

Also, Stox's book is about how to beat tough games... why do you care that the section that talks about who the book is geared towards misrepresents games that it doesn't even address in the first place?

I agree to an extent. The games have definitely changed lately and a lot of the books that were written pre-legislation frankly aren't useful anymore. Even the low limit games are much much tougher (compared to how they were before).

Just watch some of the older MSNL vids posted by like istrong. There were so many donks stacking off with literally nothing, just giving money away. Now it's nothing like that, at least for US players.

That's kinda the way I felt about SSLHE when I bought it 2 years ago. The games online weren't even as loose as the tight games described in the book (at least at 1-2 and up). I only played them to work off bonuses.

What annoys me is people who can't take the trouble to write proper English in a public post. It seriously hurts your credibility.

That said, your rant is not justified. It takes about a year from concept to delivery to turn out a good book. No book about conditions on the internet can be current and accurate. A good book will present the general principles and will tell you how to think about adjusting those principles for specific conditions.

I am just starting Stoxtrader's book, but so far it meets the standards for a good book that I stated above. Too many people want to be spoon-fed the answers without having to work or think. No book can teach you how to win in the long run. But a good book can teach you how to think and become a winner.

I recall that the description of the low limit games struck me as strange when I read it. There were also a number of other minor issues that were discussed in the review thread. But since the book does a great job of explaining how to make adjustments, these were easy to overlook.

OP, you'd be better off with SSHE, and maybe working on your adjustments in the LHE forums. It doesn't sound like WITGH is for you.
