Re: 2+2\'s Favorite MLB Team
1a. Red Sox
1b. Mets the 86 WS got me to love baseball, so ive always followed both teams as much as i could. Living in NY it was easy to follow the mets pre-internet, but once we got the net i really went back to following the sox. If i ever left ny, i would prolly only really follow the sox, and glance at mets box scores and such. |

Re: 2+2\'s Favorite MLB Team
Slight hijack, but Greg, and other Cards fans...check this link out.
Ballpark Village Mrs. Pulitzer (local Billionaire I just happen to read about yesterday in Forbes 400), wants to drop $3/4 Billion to develop around New Busch. Canadian architect commissioned for the project, Frank Gehry rips baseball, rips the stadium, rips ESPN, and gives map props to Hockey; longtime STL broadcaster (and financial peon compared to Pulitzer) Mike Shannon gets pissed and rips the Opera, and academia. Pres. of STL baseball operations DeWitt b*tchslaps Shannon. Comedy ensues. |

Re: 2+2\'s Favorite MLB Team
Baltimore Orioles fan for 18 years now (I'm almost 26). I attended Cal Ripken's record-breaking game.
I grew up in DC and they were the hometown team back then. I like the Nationals a little bit, but the O's will always be my team. |

[ QUOTE ] I'm from Nashville so I don't have a hometown team. I wound up a Phillies fan. [/ QUOTE ] Bad beat. [/ QUOTE ] Honestly its not too bad. I like cheering for a team that no one else follows where I live.Even though the last few years have been disappointing it beats the hell out of what we had to follow from 94-2000. When the Phillies do come through it will be the most organic and fulfilling moment a sports fan could experience. The reward will be worth the journey. Cards, Braves and Yankee fans would never be able to understand this. I'm probably the most optimistic Phillies fan because I don't live in Philadelphia where everyone is so negative and cynical(not without reason). If they get one more bat and some relievers the division is theirs next season. |

Re: 2+2\'s Favorite MLB Team
A's fan, born in LA but moved to Seattle before I got a chance to even start watching baseball. Half of my family is still in Sacramento so I ended up an A's fan.
