So you 1)make yourself a trustworthy and knowledgeable "expert" who is 2)writing a review? In addition to this, what else can you do in your landing page?

Looks like maybe some posts got lost in the forum switcheroo stuff thats been going on, but the link that used to be in the thread in response to my query about clarifying the impact a landing page would have on your quality score and thus your CPC costs was somewhat helpful.

In the meantime, two interesting related posts came across my RSS reader in the last couple of days:

I'm pretty sure 8% or anywhere near it is unrealistically high

It probably is. I had no idea going into this experiment, and part of the purpose of it was to spend a little money to learn stuff like this.

I'm running another campaign now for a much more expensive item which I imagine will convert even less, but I only need approximately 0.3% conversion to be profitable. I'm only a couple days in on this one and am still at 0% conversion, but for what it's worth here are the numbers on my original experiment:

8 days in, about 3,493 impressions, 36 clicks (1.03% CTR). Total cost of advertising so far: $48.50.
1 purchase @ something like $20.40 (not sure on the exact amount since clickbank is down for maintenance right now)... so 2.7% conversion so far, and obviously losing money. Of course the purchase came in the middle of the 8 days, so had I stopped then I think I would have been close to break-even. Obviously not a very big sample size, but interesting, to me at least, nonetheless.
